For the first time in Denver, or perhaps even in Colorado (as far as we can tell), we’re having a Bluegrass Music Event for the community modeled loosely after the Fiddlers’ Conventions of North Carolina and Virginia.

It’s a competition for semi-professional bands and individuals for prize money and is open to youth and adults who play the instruments and traditional music of the Appalachian Mountains. This year we’ll have a Bluegrass competition and hope to also include Old Time competition next year.

We’re making this an opportunity for everyone (whether a musician or audience member) to gather and enjoy music, fellowship, food, and activities for children. Bring your lawn chair and come join us to compete or to listen!
