After last year’s successful debut, we’re returning for the second time ever in Denver, or perhaps even in Colorado (as far as we can tell)! The Denver Bluegrass Convention is an event for the community modeled loosely after the Fiddlers’ Conventions of North Carolina and Virginia.

It’s a competition for semi-professional bands and individuals for prize money and is open to youth and adults who play the instruments and traditional music of the Appalachian Mountains. Again this year we’ll have a Bluegrass competition and hope to also include Old Time competition next year.

We’re making this an opportunity for everyone (whether a musician or audience member) to gather and enjoy music, fellowship, food, and activities for children. Bring your lawn chair and come join us to compete or to listen!
